365 Reasons to Smile – Day 315
The rain was pounding the roof all night, and I knew that the creek that borders our neighborhood would be high.
I just didn’t realize how high the water would be until I took my German Shepherd Rodney for his early morning walk.
He growled at the high water sign, and I gawked at how the normally grassy area had become a pond.
I also appreciated that engineers were smart enough to recognize the area was a flood plain so no houses were built there.
Humans who actually honor the power of Mother Nature always make me smile.
