Last month, I was contacted by the Huffington Post about being a contributor after reading one of my previous blogs. Here’s my second post on the HuffPost.

About Trina Bartlett
I live in the Eastern Panhandle of WV, with one dog, two cats, and a husband who works strange hours. I can generally be found wandering through the woods my dog, playing in and planting in dirt, and generally stirring things up.
Glad to see the wider world is beginning to recognize your good sense, skill and heart.
I think of you often. Life is going swimmingly for us. We made the right decision in downsizing our lives. Spent four winter months in Corpus Christi, then lit out in May when downpours came and the mosquitoes got large enough to begin to snatch small children, then headed to mile-high Ruidoso, NM, where we parked in the piney mountains for a month. Now in Albuquerque going to Shakespeare in the park and seeing a dear cousin whose mother sat me when I was small. In a couple of weeks we are off to the western slope of the Rockies where I’ll spend a week in a marble carving workshop. Then we’ll have to decide what to do next before we return to Corpus Christi in early November. We’re finding it fun making up our lives as we go along, but the self-indulgence is beginning to nag me a bit. I mentioned it to Grace and it clicked for her so she went out immediately and got a volunteer job taking care of cats in a shelter, out of which came the cat now traveling with us.
Hope things are going well for you all at Catholic Charities ; please remember me to Susan, one very sweet lady.
Love, Dave
Oh so glad you are enjoying the RV life. I think of both of you often! Don’t feel guilty about a well-deserved retirement.. All is well here. Pat M. is now grandmother to Millie (guess where the name came from?) and Vicki is contracting at the United Way after some major shake ups there. Give Grace my love!
